Summer Camp
Satellite Dance is thrilled to announce our Summer 2025 Aerial Dance Workshops, happening July 14–25 at DuPont Elementary School in Old Hickory Village!
Led by Artistic Director Sarah Atenhan, these immersive 5-day programs introduce the beautiful world of aerial dance in a safe, challenging, and joyful approach. Three workshop tracks are available:

Youth (ages 8–17): July 14–18

Space is extremely limited—only 8 spots per workshop to ensure safe, personalized instruction. Residents living in the 37138 zip code will receive special consideration.
About Each Workshop
Youth (Ages 8 to 17)
July 14-18 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Our youth workshop is designed to introduce aerial dance while developing healthy risk-taking skills in a safe and fun environment.
Students will begin each day with icebreaker games and a warm-up. Students will then have the opportunity to learn different aerial skills and dance choreography. Friends and family are invited to the final day for a special performance!
Adult (Ages 18+)
July 21-25 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Kids get to have all the summer fun, and now it's your turn! Our adults-only workshop is designed to introduce aerial dance with a gentle and joyful approach.
You will begin each day with a warm-up. Then, you will learn different aerial skills and dance choreography (music suggestions welcome). Friends and family are invited to the final day for an Instagram-worthy performance!
Adv/Pro Dancer (Ages 18+)
July 21-25 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Are you a dancer who is curious about aerial? Do you have an audition coming up where aerial is a component? Do you just want to swing blissfully from the ceiling one moment, then roll around on the ground the next?
If you answered yes, then this workshop is for you! Each day includes an advanced warm-up and contemporary choreography infused with introductory aerial skills. On the last day, bring your loved ones and your cameras so we can celebrate your new resume-building experience.
